Puffed cereal with honey and nuts

حبوب الإفطار المنفوخة بالعسل والجوز
the components:

4 1/2 cups - puffed rice cereal
1 cup - chopped almonds
1 1/4 teaspoon - ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon - cinnamon
1/3 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 cup light brown sugar, gently packed
2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon (32 g) - unsalted butter
1/3 cup - honey
1/2 teaspoon - baking soda
1 tablespoon - raw sesame seeds

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Line a rimmed baking sheet with baking paper and set aside.

In a large heatproof bowl, combine puffed rice, almonds, turmeric, cinnamon and salt.

In a small saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter, and honey, stirring occasionally, until lightly foamy, about 1-2 minutes (about 250°F).

Remove from heat and mix in baking soda. Immediately pour mixture over dry ingredients. Stir well with a wooden spoon, making sure to mix in all the spices and seeds that have fallen to the bottom of the bowl. Then spread mixture over prepared pan.

Bake for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through. Allow to cool completely to room temperature. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.

Serve with the milk of your choice, which becomes "golden milk" when mixed with the cereal!

advice:

Instead of puffed rice, you can replace it with other puffed grains such as millet.
